Yorkshire Universities Strategic Review |
During 2008, Yorkshire Universities underwent an extensive review of the strategic focus and remit of the organisation and, following a Yorkshire Universities Board meeting in December, a decision was taken to focus on strengthening key strategic relationships with the regional partners. As a result the organisation will be restructured and a small team established to promote higher education and the contribution of the sector for the benefit of the region.
The Yorkshire Universities team will continue to work closely with colleagues in member institutions and to further strengthen this relationship, current collaborative and partnership project activities will be transferred to a lead institution, on behalf of the membership. In the coming months we will be undertaking a consultation on the transfer of these programmes of work. Yorkshire Uiversities would like to reassure our partners that we fully anticipate business will continue as usual during this transition period.
In light of Michael Noble’s recent departure, we are pleased to confirm that Amelia Morgan, the current Deputy and Operations Manager has been named as Acting Chief Executive Officer. Amelia will be leading the organisation through the transition period. If you would like to discuss any aspect relating to the strategic review please contact Amelia’s PA, Marion Lowrence, m.lowrence@yorkshireuniversities.ac.uk, 0113 3431586, in the first instance. |
