Yorkshire Concept The Yorkshire Concept: Proof of Commercial Concept Fund 2007-2010 is a new project Fund designed to stimulate the commercialisation of research and knowledge-based activities in the Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) across the Yorkshire and the Humber region.  It is funded jointly, on the principle of matched funding, by the Regional Development Agency, Yorkshire Forward, and the Higher Education Institutions themselves.  Activities will focus on supporting projects which enhance potential for a new product, technology, science or process to become commercially viable and on forging collaborations between higher education and the private sector to encourage innovation and further investment.
